Student Life . Orientation . MOSAIC . MOSAIC
The MOSAIC (Multicultural Orientation Series for Artists In College) was created in 2022 through an initiative from CIA's IDEA Council. The program is open to all incoming first-year students and strives to support those who may benefit from a more personalized transition into college.
A year-long program, MOSAIC offers students a chance to get their academic career off to a strong start by introducing them to the academic and support resources on campus, offering personal introductions to faculty and staff, giving tours of the campus and University Circle, and matching them with a peer mentor who will offer support throughout the Foundation year.
Participating scholars will be expected to meet with their peer mentors and academic advisors on a regular basis throughout their first year at CIA.
MOSAIC kicks off with a two-and-a-half day pre-Orientation program that will help you more easily navigate your first year of college.
The Pre-Orientation program offers you a chance to get your academic career off to a strong start by:
Building these early relationships with students, staff and faculty—people who understand what it feels like to walk in your shoes and begin a new path in college—will help you experience what it means to be part of an art school and part of a supportive community of passionate, creative people.
Participating scholars will be expected to meet with peer mentors and academic advisors on a regular basis throughout their first year at CIA.
