Student Life . Orientation . Fall Orientation
You’ve already taken care of business this summer with StART online—so now it’s time for the fun part! Fall Orientation is a mandatory two-day program that takes place in August just before classes begin. Orientation will help you adjust to college life and embark on the road to a profession in art and design. Orientation runs from the morning through the evening. The check-in process for fall new student orientation will begin on Thursday with breakfast. Students who will be commuting to campus may park in the student parking lot (Lot 73) located behind the George Gund Building (signs will guide you). More details regarding the schedule to come.
The Disability Services Office offers individual consultation sessions for students with documented learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or mental health disorders. These can include but are not limited to, dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and a variety of physical disabilities. Making the appointments for these consultations will be available through the StART program in the summer.
During your individual session, you and your parents meet the Disability Services staff who will review your disability and establish accommodations and services specific to the unique demands of the CIA student experience.
