Support the Cleveland Institute of Art
Gifts to the Cleveland Institute of Art’s annual fund are a crucial component of the college’s funding mix, helping to bridge the gap between tuition revenue, investment income and operating expenses. By garnering support for unrestricted purposes, annual scholarships and enhanced departmental operations, contributions to the annual fund establish the foundation from which CIA fulfills its mission and advances toward its vision.
The percentage of alumni giving to CIA’s annual fund is consistently ranked as one of the highest in the country among colleges of art and design, sending a powerful message about the value our graduates place upon their years here. Each year thousands of loyal alumni and friends, corporations, foundations and government sources provide support to CIA’s annual fund, contributing nearly $1 million toward the college’s annual operating budget.

Make a gift from your IRA
If you are 70-1/2 years or older, and you have a traditional IRA, then there's a smart way to give to the Cleveland Institute of Art. You can make a contribution known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA that is 100 percent tax free regardless of whether you itemize deductions on your tax return.
