Can high school students sign up for adult classes?
High school age students can register for adult Continuing Education classes. Please be aware that if a high school student does register for an adult class they are expected to purchase and provide their own supplies for the class.
What do classes cost?
Young artist classes are $400 per class and the cost for adult classes range from $495-$595.
If I can't attend all of the classes, can the cost be prorated?
Unfortunately, we cannot adjust the price of any class. Full course tuition must be paid at the time of registration to secure a seat in the class.
Do I need to buy my own supplies?
For adult and online classes, yes. A syllabus and supply list will be provided before the start of the class so that you can purchase supplies needed to get started. We provide all supplies for in-person young artist classes unless otherwise noted.
What types of classes are offered?
We offer a wide range of classes, including painting and drawing, digital art, photography and video, and craft-based courses (ceramics, jewelry and metals, glassblowing, etc). How do I sign up for a class?
Registration forms can be found in the back of our catalog, or printed off here and mailed in to the address listed on the form. You can also register online at my.cia.edu/ceco or over the phone at 216.421.7460.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payments can be made by check, cash or credit card; AmEx, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are accepted.
Can I receive credit for the class I take?
Continuing Education classes are non-credit bearing enrichment courses. They are ungraded and do not have credit attached to them.

What if I don't like a class I signed up for?
In the event that this happens, we will do our best to mediate any issues or concerns that a student is having with their class or instructor. Are there any discounts available for Continuing Education classes?
CIA alumni, veterans, and those signing up for 2 or more classes can receive a 10% discount on adult and Young Artist continuing education classes by registering by phone at 216-421-7460.
