How much are Cinematheque tickets?

Ticket prices vary. General admission tickets for theatrical screenings range from $12 (our regular price) to $15. Tickets for Cinematheque members, those with Cleveland Institute of Art or Cleveland State University IDs, and those age 25 & under range from $9 (our regular price) to $12. An additional film on the same day costs the member price for that film. Tickets for in-person showings can be purchased in advance here. less

Does the Cinematheque continue to show films on 35mm?

Yes, the Cinematheque continues to show 35mm films regularly, on average one every weekend, though most movies are now projected digitally (in 2K or 4K).

Tickets for in-person screenings are sold at the door on show nights and in advance online. The Cinematheque accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as well as cash and checks. Tickets for online "virtual" screenings can be purchased at the sales link for each film. Though the money is paid to a third-party vendor, roughly half of that revenue is returned to the Cinematheque. less

Yes, and it's free. CIA's campus has two lots that Cinematheque patrons can use, and both are accessed from E. 117th Street, south of Euclid Avenue. The more convenient lot is Lot 73, located in the rear of the CIA building. If Lot 73 is full, there is additional free parking available in CIA’s annex lot on the other side of E. 117th Street. Entrance C is the closest door from either parking lot, and the only entry always available to Cinematheque patrons.

Both lots are well lit and monitored by security guards. less

Yes, handicapped parking is located in Lot 73, just behind the building, off E. 117th Street. Building Entrance C is the closest entrance to accessible parking spaces.

The theater has dedicated spaces for wheelchairs, and seating for transfer from wheelchairs. Both options are located near the center of the theater (relative to the screen), and are adjacent to guest seating.

Assistive listening devices, which can be adjusted to desired volumes, are available to patrons for the duration of the film. less
